Frequently Asked Questions
Real questions. Real answers. No corner-cutting.
🚿 Do I really need to clean my solar panels?
Absolutely. A lot of people think rain is enough, but it’s not—especially out here where dust bakes on like oven grease. Dirty panels can lose up to 30% efficiency. We’ve seen folks try garden hoses or hire guys who use pressure washers (yes, seriously). That just smears the grime or damages the seal.
We use ultra-purified water and specialized brushes—no soap, no pressure, no shortcuts. Just maximum output and a spotless finish.
🔄 Do you use rotary brushes for solar panel cleaning?
Nope—and that's on purpose.
Rotary brushes look impressive, but they’re often too aggressive for modern solar panels. Most panel manufacturers recommend soft-bristle, non-rotating brushes used with purified water. Spinning brushes can strip protective coatings, grind in debris, or even void warranties if misused.
Some outfits use drill brushes or pressure-powered spinners and call it a "deep clean." We call it trouble.
We stick to safe, approved methods: gentle brushes, RO/DI water, and pressure-free rinsing. Your panels will sparkle—and last longer.
🪟 What about windows? Do you use chemicals?
Nope. We clean with RO/DI purified water—the same kind used in labs and car detailing. It leaves a flawless, spot-free shine without relying on ammonia, harsh soaps, or cloudy spray cleaners.
For most exterior jobs, we use a water-fed pole system for safety and efficiency. But yes—sometimes we break out the squeegee, especially for interiors or detail work. It’s not about the tool—it’s about the technique. No streaks, no drips, no lazy wipe-downs. Just crisp, clean glass.
🧼 How often should I clean my panels or windows?
For solar panels: every 6 months is the sweet spot. More often if you live near ag fields or a dusty road.
For windows: we recommend every 2–3 months to keep things looking fresh. Some folks try once a year, then wonder why their windows are hazy and their panels look etched.
That’s usually the result of hard water drying on the surface over time—and once that etching sets in, it’s permanent.
🏡 Do you clean both residential and commercial?
Yup! Homes, storefronts, medical offices, HOAs, malls—you name it. We’re fully equipped for 1-story, 2-story, and even 3+ story buildings thanks to our water-fed pole system and ultra-purified water setup.
A lot of cleaners stop at two stories or charge more because they need lifts or ladders and extra crew. Our system lets us clean safely from the ground, which means:
No risky roof climbing
Faster job times
Lower labor costs
Fewer people on-site
You get pro results without the three-ring circus.
💧 What’s so special about your system?
We clean using a professional-grade, four-stage RO/DI filtration system—that’s Reverse Osmosis plus Deionization—to remove 100% of the dissolved minerals, metals, and impurities in the water.
Here’s the truth:
Anything less than four stages means hard water is hitting your glass.
In the Imperial Valley, our tap water tests at 300–700+ TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). A simple DI tank or two-stage setup isn’t enough. Without all four stages, minerals slip through—and that means spots, haze, or even permanent etching.
We test our water daily to ensure it’s 0 TDS before we clean. If it’s not perfect, we don’t use it. It’s that simple.
And because our system is mobile and ladder-free, we keep your job safer, faster, and more affordable—all while delivering spotless results that last.
💠 What’s TDS? And why should I care?
TDS = Total Dissolved Solids. Think of it like all the invisible stuff in your water: calcium, magnesium, chlorine, iron—it all adds up. And the higher the TDS, the worse the water is for cleaning.
In our area, tap water often hits 500+ TDS, which is like rinsing your windows and solar panels with mineral soup. It dries into white spots, causes streaking, and can permanently damage coatings.
We reduce water to 0 TDS before it ever touches your surfaces.
0 TDS = no spots, no streaks, no long-term damage.
If your cleaner isn’t talking about TDS... it’s probably because they’re not checking it.
💸 How much does it cost?
It depends on how much we’re cleaning. We price by pane (windows) or panel (solar). No random flat rates or “eyeball quotes.”
Minimums:
Residential Windows: $120 (15 panes)
Solar Panel Cleaning: $150 (15 panels)
Storefronts: $30 per stop (7–12 panes depending on frequency)
Every job is scoped properly, priced transparently, and scheduled efficiently. No “$99 specials” that end with someone using a pressure washer on your roof.
🕐 How long does a job take?
Most residential jobs take 1–2 hours. We’re fast, thorough, and efficient. You won’t catch us “taking our time” because we didn’t bring the right ladder or forgot the water tank.
You’d be surprised how many jobs we redo because someone else “cleaned it last month”—and left the same spots behind.
🧽 Do you offer pressure washing?
Yes—for surfaces that are meant to be pressure washed: driveways, sidewalks, patios, storefront concrete, trash bin pads, etc.
We do not blast windows or solar panels with a pressure gun (which, shockingly, we’ve seen competitors do). That’s a fast way to damage your stuff—and your wallet.
